There’s always something new happening around the neighborhoods I work in, and this round has a few worth knowing about.

One Winnetka is under construction at Elm and Lincoln and is bringing new energy to downtown Winnetka, with Fare, Solidcore, and more joining the ground-floor lineup.

Over in Wilmette, Hermès just opened its doors at Plaza del Lago — part of a bigger wave of luxury retail landing in the shopping center this year.

Zenzi Den brought Japanese-inspired izakaya dining to downtown Glenview, and avec is set to open in Highwood next month, marking One Off Hospitality’s first restaurant on the North Shore.

New businesses and development like this tell you a lot about where a community is headed.

Fall is officially making its way into the city, and I’m ready for interiors to feel a little warmer, too. 🍂

The best fall-inspired spaces don’t need pumpkins on every surface. Think warm wood tones, layered textures, soft lighting, rich neutrals, and a few intentional seasonal details.

A few easy ways to bring that feeling home:

→ Add a textured throw or oversized blanket
→ Swap in warmer-toned accent pillows
→ Bring in natural elements like wood, branches, or dried florals
→ Layer your lighting for a softer glow
→ Add deeper tones through artwork or accessories

The goal isn’t to make your home look “seasonal.” It’s to make it feel warm, inviting, and lived-in as the temperatures drop.

A little refinement goes a long way. 🤍

The West Loop continues to evolve, and there are some new additions to the neighborhood worth knowing about.

From restaurants and bars to new residential development, there’s a lot happening throughout the area right now.

✨ Gibsons Tavern: A new tavern concept from the Gibsons Restaurant Group, expected to open this fall.

✨ All Well: A new restaurant from Oriole chef Noah Sandoval that opened this spring, featuring a prix-fixe dining salon, late-night bar, and sandwich menu.

✨ SuSu: A new steakhouse combining Lebanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese influences that opened earlier this year.

✨ Caché 310: A new cocktail bar located inside BMO Tower.

✨ Bar None: A new zero-proof and THC nightlife concept inside The Duncan.

✨ West Loop Collection: A new residential development planned for 210–240 S. Green St., with five boutique buildings and residences starting just under $2M.

The West Loop has changed quite a bit over the years, and it will be interesting to see how these new additions continue to shape the neighborhood.

A few weeks ago, I toured Fulton Bond in Fulton Market, and this development is definitely one to watch.

Fulton Bond will bring two luxury residential towers to the neighborhood:

✨ One Fulton Bond — 23 stories, 60 residences
✨ Two Fulton Bond — 34 stories, 77 residences
✨ 2–4 bedroom residences ranging from approximately 2,400 to 4,500+ square feet
✨ Pricing starting around $1.5M, with penthouses currently priced above $7.6M
✨ Approximately 40,000 square feet of amenities

The amenity package includes a pool deck, private thermal suite, fitness center, coworking lounge, resident cocktail bars, golf simulator, outdoor movie lawn, dog run, and 24/7 door staff.

I also loved the architectural approach. The design takes cues from Fulton Market’s warehouse history, pairing brick arches at the base with glass forms above.

With just two or three residences on most floors, the focus is clearly on privacy and a more intimate residential experience.

Fulton Bond is currently expected to deliver in 2029.
