Bittersweet drop-off this past weekend: Christian just started mechanical engineering at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and wow, what an experience awaits him.

The campus architecture is impressive and as it sits right at the base of the mountains, it is a stunning setting. The engineering labs genuinely rival what I’ve seen at Georgia Tech.
His dorm amenities and lifestyle provisions are simply over the top. There’s even a massive workshop that any master carpenter would dream of having located in his dorm fully accessible to the students.

And the outdoor access is unreal: back your car up to the rec center and they’ll load your gear for skiing, kayaking, or off-road biking.
There’s even a rock climbing wall on campus.
All of it within a block or two of his dorm.

We miss him already — but we couldn’t be more proud. 🥹 ❤️
