Celebrated our anniversary in San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, and it did not disappoint — salsa dancing on the beach and at La Factoria, dinner at the beautiful Fairmont, finding new favorite spots (El Mas Alla), and long lazy days on the beach. 🏝️💃☀️

Even attempted to convert Chad to the beet side 🫜 … let’s just say the “creamy, lemony” beet soup wasn’t the magic bullet 😂.

So grateful for the memories (and the partner to make them with). ♥️♥️

We’re wrapping up our Decatur neighborhood data series with one of the city’s most quietly beloved communities: Parkwood. 🏡

Nestled between Ponce, Scott Boulevard, and East Lake Drive, Parkwood is the kind of neighborhood people move into and simply stay for decades (or never leave!) — pedestrian-friendly streets, spacious yards, historic homes, and a community so tight-knit that former residents come back as adults to raise their own families here.

That loyalty shows up in the data too: Parkwood recorded zero home sales in 2025. Not a sign of weakness — just a reflection of how rarely people choose to leave.

We have seen some early activity in 2026, so stay tuned. When a Parkwood home does come to market, it’s worth paying attention.

Next up in our Decatur neighborhood series: the MAK Historic District. 🏡

The McDonough-Adams-Kings Highway District — known to locals as “MAK” — is one of Decatur’s most coveted pockets, with many historic homes dating back to 1907 and all the charm that comes with them. Walkable, character-filled, and genuinely hard to leave once you’re in.

Here’s a look at how the neighborhood performed from 2022–2025:

🔹2025 saw 4 sales in the MAK District
🔹Average sale price held essentially flat at $1,310,250 (down just 0.08% from $1,311,250 in 2024)
🔹Price per square foot jumped 21.6% — from $374 to $455

Note: with only four transactions in 2025, this data is best read as a snapshot rather than a definitive trend. What it does tell us is that MAK homes continue to command serious prices — and serious interest.

This Mother’s Day weekend I had the pleasure of being pampered by the talented professional/executive chef who thankfully was on a short break from catering F1 race suites and consulting on opening new restaurants. 🤩 The menu: spring gazpacho with avocado mousse (who knew I liked cold soup?), lemon confit chicken with roasted fingerling potatoes, and orange zeppoli with Grand Marnier cream. 🤤
