What a closing! 🎉
This one was a true testament to perseverance, problem-solving, and trusting your instincts. After tackling a major radon challenge, we finally made it to the finish line!
At one point, radon levels were sky high, but the seller wasn’t convinced the usual solutions were the answer. Tom had an idea, stuck to it (even when others doubted), and teamed up with the right company to test it out… and it WORKED. Final radon test: under 1! 💥 This wasn’t a simple fix; crawl space encapsulation, sealing returns, HVAC adjustments...you name it. A lot of moving parts and a lot of extra effort, but it all paid off.
After multiple hurdles, this closing feels especially meaningful. Grateful for amazing clients like Tom and Lois who trust the process and never give up.

✨ Happy Closing Day! ✨
Some closings are smooth… and some become stories you’ll never forget. This one was definitely the latter.
This home went under contract three different times! Buyer financing issues, a subject-to-sale offer that was bumped, and finally a third offer that made it all the way to the finish line. In the middle of that process, the seller passed away at 95 years old.
Although I never had the chance to meet or speak with her, it was clear she was deeply loved. One beautiful part of her story is that she had moved to Arizona to live with family and spent the last 7 months or so of her life with her daughter, granddaughter, and great grandchildren. What a gift that time together must have been.
After her passing, the sale faced another hurdle as the home became part of the estate and legal documents had to be updated before we could move forward. Thankfully, the buyers were patient, the attorneys moved quickly, and we were only delayed two weeks.
Then came one final surprise: the day before closing, I stopped by the vacant home to find the central air had been completely destroyed. Police were called, a report was filed, insurance was contacted, and somehow… the buyers still chose to move forward and close.
Through every challenge, this seller family remained gracious, positive, and kind. They were truly a joy to work with, and I’m so grateful to have helped them through such an emotional and unpredictable journey.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this closing happen: the attorneys at Dentons Davis Brown, our amazing closer Brenda, my manager Shawntel, and the buyer’s agent for his teamwork throughout it all.
Real estate is not always easy. It can be stressful, emotional, and full of unexpected twists. But moments like this remind me why I love what I do.
So happy for this family to finally reach the finish line. 🏡❤️
