It was supposed to be a chill day around the house with soccer games in the afternoon. But that wasn’t in the plans for me today. We found 8 baby opossums in the shed today, and I couldn’t just leave them.

Now I’m well connected but this was a first for me. After a few phone calls, I connected with Tracy at Wild Thunder in Independence, IA. She said if I could get them there, she would take care of them.

I walked through the door and saw there are a whole lot of animals needing help today. A raptor in rehab, a turtle with a head injury, bobcats, raccoons, and a whole lot more.

Watching Tracy assess those little opossums, it was clear these folks are making a difference. They did for me.

I made a donation today and if you are able, there are 8 super cute little fuzzy opossums that could sure use the help.
