A hometown listing in Farmington Hills, and this one is a beauty.

23184 Mission Lane is a turn-key brick ranch with the kind of finishes and layout that make it easy to settle in from day one. The open concept main level is anchored by a beautiful kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances, honed stone countertops, a modern backsplash, heated floors, and an island with a sink and snack bar seating. French doors and abundant windows open the space up to a private upper deck with wooded views and no neighbors in sight. A peninsula gas fireplace sits between the kitchen and living room, keeping the open concept warm and cohesive.

Hardwood floors run through the living spaces and bedrooms. Two well-proportioned bedrooms sit down the hall, one with ensuite bath access, the other with its own doorwall to the upper deck. The primary suite is its own retreat, with a gas fireplace, double vanity, jetted soaker tub, walk-in glass shower, water closet, and a large walk-in closet that gives the room a real hotel feel.

The walkout basement continues the story with a built-in gas fireplace, full bathroom, wet bar with kitchenette potential, and two doorwalls leading to a lower deck. A bonus room offers flexibility for a fourth bedroom, home gym, or office space.

Award-winning Downtown Farmington is five minutes away, along with Longacre Elementary, Drake Park, and M-5 access. Power Middle School, Farmington High, and Heritage Park are all within ten.

Farmington and Farmington Hills are home for us, so any time we get to share a hometown listing like this one, it carries a little extra meaning. We would love to show it off in person.

Open House this Saturday, June 13th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Come see this Farmington Hills home for sale in person with Annette Compo and Trevor Medema. If you cannot make Saturday, reach out anytime for a private showing.

Episode 12 of The Local Loop is live, and it also marks one full year of the podcast. Trevor Medema and Dion De Gennaro started this show talking about the deer cull, and one year later they are circling right back to it with the results.

Here is what this episode covers:

The deer cull: Farmington Hills aimed to remove 400 deer through the regional program. They got 70. About 2,300 pounds of venison was donated to local food banks, which equals roughly 9,200 meals. The city is calling it a multi-year plan, and phase two may involve an archery component, something the guys have questions about.

The albino deer: The city confirmed the loss of Farmington Hills' well-known albino deer, struck by a vehicle on 12 Mile and Halsted. She had been a community favorite for years. Dion shares that she spent a lot of time at his mom's property and had fawns over the years, and breaks down why there is still a chance her genetic line could continue.

The murder at Woodland Hills: On May 3rd, Farmington Hills resident Richard Allen Harris was found on a trail at Woodland Hills Nature Preserve. It has been confirmed as a suspected homicide and remains unsolved. Trevor and Dion talk through the timeline of the city's communication and some honest concerns about how this was handled publicly.

Flock Safety cameras: Since 2023, Farmington Hills has had about 40 license plate reader cameras positioned at every major road entering the city. Trevor and Dion break down what Flock Safety is, how it works, who has access, and what it means for residents.

This is a long one, but a really good one. Have a listen and let us know what you think in the comments.

Welcome home to Farmington Hills.

We recently had the joy of helping another first-time homebuyer family close on their new home, this time in the city they wanted most: Farmington Hills.

The couple is relocating from the west side of Michigan to be closer to family.
Farmington Hills was at the top of their list, and for all the right reasons. Their loved ones are already here, the community is exceptional, and the amenities and character of this city speak for themselves. We had the joy of finding them a beautiful brick bungalow full of charm and personality, the kind of home that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. It is the perfect place for them to plant roots with their little one.

This closing was especially meaningful because of how they came to us. They were referred by one of our close referral partners, and they happen to be family of that partner as well. Being trusted with both someone's referrals and their own family members is the highest compliment we could ever receive. It speaks to the relationships we work hard to build and the experience we strive to deliver for every client.

Welcome home, friends. Farmington Hills is lucky to have you, and we are so grateful we got to be part of this chapter.

If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling in Farmington Hills, Farmington, or anywhere in Metro Detroit, our team would love to help.

Just listed in Livonia and open this Saturday for visitors.

Tucked into a quiet, friendly street in one of Livonia's most desirable areas, this 1,250 square foot brown and brick ranch has been beautifully cared for from front door to back. Mature landscaping, a well-kept exterior, and an interior that has been updated where it counts.

Inside, you will find an eat-in kitchen with shaker-style cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, and a large picture window looking out over the front yard. The living room opens onto the backyard through a three-panel glass slider, leading to a deck and a large fenced yard ready for whatever the next chapter brings.

Three bedrooms, a full bath with an updated glass enclosure, a half bath, and a finished basement anchored by a charming retro fireplace round out the home. The location is just minutes from Stevenson High School, Buchanan Elementary, Rotary Park and Trails, the Livonia Recreation Center, and I-96 access.

There are people who work hard behind the scenes and never get the spotlight. This episode is for one of those people.

In the newest episode of Opening Doors, Annette sits down with Madison Carroll, the marketing and branding mind at Keller Williams Home.

Madison grew up in a small town in Virginia, started singing at a young age, and by the time she was 15 or 16 she had recorded a song with a group called Consumed by Fire, worked with a producer connected to Third Day, and watched her name show up on the iTunes charts. She went to college for music, went on tour, and eventually found her way to Michigan and to Keller Williams.

In this episode, she and Annette also talk about what it was like for Madison to buy her very first home with the team she works alongside every day, her upcoming Virginia farm wedding, and what she would go back and tell her younger self.

It is a really warm conversation and one of those episodes that reminds you that the people around you are always carrying more of a story than you realize.

Some news feels less like a business update and more like a family reunion, and this is one of them.

Keller Williams Home has welcomed Trevor Clements as our new Team Leader, and his real estate team, Clements & Co., is officially joining us at the brokerage.

Our relationship with Trevor Clements goes back to 2015, when he was newly licensed with Keller Williams and Annette became his coach. In 2017, his mom, Colleen, joined him in real estate, and Clements & Co. was established. Watching them build a mother-and-son partnership has been especially meaningful for us, since we know what it is like to grow a business alongside family.

Now, KW Home is home to two Trevors and two family-run teams, and honestly, the office has never felt more like home.

We sometimes call this kind of relationship "framily." Friends who are family. Welcome to KW Home, Trevor and Colleen. We are so glad you are here.

Another closing to celebrate, this one on Seminole Street in Southfield.

This was a special one. Our buyers are repeat clients of ours, and we are always so grateful when past clients come back to work with us on something new. It speaks to the relationship we have built over the years, and we never take that kind of trust for granted.

The fun part? These buyers have plans for the property and are about to give it a beautiful refresh. They are excited to transform the home, and we cannot wait to see the vision come to life.

Congratulations to our friends on Seminole Street. We are cheering you on through this next chapter.

If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling in Southfield, Farmington Hills, or anywhere in Metro Detroit, we would love to help.

We are excited to share that Compo & Medema Group is sponsoring breakfast at this year's Bunkers & Bogeys golf outing, hosted by the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce.

Bunkers & Bogeys takes place at the beautiful Farmington Hills Golf Club on Monday, June 8th, with the day kicking off at 8:30 AM. It is one of the most fun networking days of the year for the Chamber community. Expect a full day on the course, contests, an auction, and dinner with friends and fellow members.

Before any of that happens, golfers need a solid start to the day, and that is where we come in. Make sure to swing by our breakfast station before you head to the course, grab a bite, and say hello. We would love to see you.

Whether you are playing, sponsoring, or coming out to support the Chamber, this is always one of our favorite events of the year.

The June issue of Farmington Hills City Local is out now, and it is a good one.

Annette Compo, Real Estate Broker and Editor of the magazine, put together a summer issue all about making the most of the season right here in Farmington and Farmington Hills. From free outdoor concerts and the Saturday Farmers Market to Heritage Park, Art on Grand, and the best spots for a summer evening out, the issue is packed with ideas for the whole family.

This month also features a spotlight on two incredible local businesses: Rose Best, a natural skincare brand that opened its first store in Farmington last year, and Teleia Salon in Downtown Farmington, a beautiful space built on heritage, artistry, and community.

And if you love local history, do not miss Trevor Medema's piece on the Boorn-Halsted House on Halsted Road, one of the oldest homesteads in Farmington Hills with a story that goes all the way back to 1827.

Look for your copy around town, and if you have ideas for future issues or want to share how you are enjoying the community this summer, Annette would love to hear from you.
