The North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC) requires all non-BIC and non-BIC eligible brokers to complete the 4-hour General Update (GENUP) course each year to renew their license. This course counts toward your 8-hour annual continuing education requirement for the 2025–2026 license year.
If you’re actively practicing real estate in North Carolina, this is not optional. It’s essential.
