Why you'll never be able to pry me out of living in North Liberty, IA.

The longer you live somewhere, the more you start noticing the stuff that actually makes it a place worth staying.

A few I'd genuinely miss:

The way Lake Macbride weekends turn into an unofficial town meetup (boats, trails, and all).

How people still do the Midwest “polite wave” in the Hy-Vee parking lot like it’s a sport.

The summer nights that end with live music + patio seats in the Iowa City/North Liberty corridor.

The unspoken rule that if someone mentions a new restaurant or coffee spot, you *have* to go try it within the week.

How quick you can go from “I need a Target run” to “I’m on a trail getting fresh air” without crossing half the state.
