I have a cool development idea that I've been seeing more and more posts on social media about.
With housing affordability and attainability being an issue in Kansas City and for that matter in the US. Why not build villages of sustainable homes that single people, couples, addicts or seniors could buy and or rent.
See the borrowed information below from Shipping container world and information.
HOLY MOLY! A Fleet of Cargo Boxes Just Became the Ultimate Eco-Village!
Just look at this insane transformation! They took a massive crane, dropped a dozen huge blue shipping containers in a giant circle, and built a literal magnificent little village!
The Quick Specs & Estimates:
📦 The Bones: A dozen 40ft used shipping containers arranged in a massive sunburst layout.
🌿 The Look: Sleek matte black finish, warm timber decking, and perfect green privacy hedges.
☀️ The Flex: An entirely self-contained eco-resort featuring roof-mounted solar and an epic central community lounge!
💰 Est. Total Cost (Turnkey USA): $800,000 - $1,500,000+ (Developing an entire resort infrastructure, 12+ individual living units, massive solar arrays, and commercial landscaping is a huge investment!)

⚠️ Disclaimer: These costs are rough starting estimates only! True construction costs swing wildly based on zip codes, labor rates, material prices, and the intense commercial zoning required to build a multi-unit village or resort. Anyone looking to build should always consult a local licensed contractor, architect, and check local zoning laws first.
