What a way to spend Labor Day weekend. 🤍

This weekend I had the absolute joy of celebrating Sunny & Brit Patel and getting to experience and participate in the traditions, celebrations, colors, dancing, food, and pure FUN of an Indian wedding.

It’s one of those experiences I never really imagined I’d have the opportunity to be part of, which made it that much more special. I’m so thankful for friends who invite you into their lives, their families, and their traditions and let you celebrate right alongside them.

After a weekend full of love, laughter, a whole lot of dancing, and some very beautiful outfits, I’m headed back to the beach this Labor Day feeling extra grateful.

Grateful for new experiences. Grateful for wonderful friends. And grateful for a life that keeps taking me places I didn’t necessarily see coming.

Congratulations, Sunny & Brit! What a weekend and what a beautiful way to start your next chapter. 🤍

Introducing The Seashore Seller

A little series for anyone who owns a piece of the Outer Banks and has thought, “Maybe it’s time to sell… but where do I even start?”

Here’s the thing: a successful sale starts long before the sign goes in the yard.

Before the photos. Before the MLS. Before you start painting every room and replacing things that may not need replacing.

There’s strategy in knowing what to fix, what to leave alone, how to price, who your buyer is, and how your property fits into the market right now.

That’s what The Seashore Seller is all about: practical advice, local insight, and a few things I’ve learned from actually selling homes up and down these Banks.

No. 01: Before the Sign Goes in the Yard

Thinking about selling your OBX property sometime in the next year? Save this one. And stick around… we’re just getting started.

Well August, that’s a wrap!

I feel like I’ve been tearing up Eastern NC this month. Lots of driving, lots of working, and thankfully, lots of living in between.

August was a little bit of everything: beach days, country roads, nature, getting rained on more times than I can count, showing way too many houses to keep track of, and even my first dirt track race.

I also listed a beautiful home in Wilson with the dreamiest koi pond, which pretty much sums up how far and wide this month took me.

That’s one of my favorite things about living on the OBX. You can have your toes in the sand one day, be out living the country life the next, and still make a city shopping run without turning it into a whole expedition.

Work, fluff, nature, new experiences, and a whole lot of miles on the vehicles. August, you were a good one.

On to September 🌞

Some days are nonstop… this was one of them.

Morning was spent prepping a listing and the afternoon was spent showing houses.

Good thing my clients weren’t too put off by my sweaty appearance at the showings! Haha

I’ve marketed a lot of homes, but I’ve never told the story of one quite like this.

368 Country Club Road is my grandmother’s home. The place where so many pieces of my family’s story unfolded over the years. I know the rooms, the yard, the trees, and the memories tucked into all of it.

So when it came time to sell, this one meant more. I wanted to tell its story well, honor what it has been to our family, and find someone who can see what it could become for theirs.

Homes aren’t meant to stay frozen in time. They change hands, families grow, life moves forward, and new stories begin.

We’ve loved this one well.

Now it’s ready to be part of someone else’s story.

A new chapter starts here.

This one is a little outside my usual neck of the woods, but it’s a special one.

7220 Neal Road belongs to my boyfriend’s family and has been in the Neal family for generations. When it came time to sell, they wanted someone who understood that this wasn’t just another house going on the market. It’s a piece of their family history, and they wanted it marketed with the attention, care, and story it deserves.

So for this one, I’m heading west.

I’m honored to help them find the person who will appreciate this old farmhouse for exactly what it is and carry its story into the next chapter.

It’s a salty, sandy, dog filled life for me!

It's kinda chic to live on the Outer Banks!
