1970’s
Bird Rock native, Ronald L.

Nau, entered the La Jolla construction industry in 1975 with Angel Construction.

1980’s
Ronald soon went on to form Nau Builders in 1985. First specializing in residential remodeling, Ronald mastered his ability to work close with owners and carry out their visions.

1990’s / 2000’s
Taking advantage of a prosperous real estate market between the mid 1990s to 2005, Nau Builders stepped b

ack from remodeling and moved onto building larger custom homes and developing luxury mixed-use projects throughout La Jolla and the coastal areas. It established itself in the specialized niche of in-fill mixed-use commercial and residential condominium development with underground parking. This, coupled with the high-end residential custom home and remodeling experience, helped Nau Builders to develop a reputation as one of La Jolla's finest home builders.

2005 - 2010
Ron foresaw a changing market in 2005, so he moved direction from development back to home remodeling, building for other developers, and property management. Kyle Nau started working for the company in 2007 and the father-son working relationship became a great company asset. Due to it's reputation in the community, Nau Builders, Inc. managed to continue strong through the late 2000s recession.

2010 - Today
With Ron’s construction and development experience, and Kyle’s analytical and technical knowledge, Nau Builders, Inc. is constantly adapting itself to the changing environment which allows it to keep construction costs down, product quality high, and customer service exemplary.
