I’ve been at Douglas Elliman for 10+ years… and for me, it’s never about the sign on the door.

It’s always been about the people.

The relationships. The standards. The culture of collaboration.

I’ve never been a big box kind girl, and I’ve never wanted a big box approach to real estate either.

I want a place that values substance over scale and raises the bar for how we show up for clients. How we show up for each other. How we do business.

However many years later…I’d choose it again every day of the week. Twice on Sunday. Thank you for making real estate feel like home.

Maybe it’s nostalgia. Maybe it’s loyalty. Probably both.

There are really two markets happening right now, and most buyers are only paying attention to one of them.

Some homes are gone in days. Multiple offers, over asking, no room to breathe. Others have been sitting for weeks, quietly getting reduced, with sellers who are a lot more motivated than they were a few months ago.

There’s very little in between.

And, that split actually creates two completely different opportunities depending on what you're looking for. You can go after the house everyone wants and be prepared to compete. Or you can pay attention to what's been sitting and figure out why, because sometimes the answer is "it's overpriced" and sometimes the answer is "nobody's looked at this right."

Knowing which is which is the whole job.

Hot take… if your agent won’t get out of bed to advocate for your listing, I’d have questions.

Call me old fashioned, but the pitch meeting still matters (I know a few of my colleagues are rolling your eyes as they read this, but hear me out).

We don’t HAVE to be there. We can all pull the list online. We all know who’s going to be open. And, we’re on the pitch sheet for the meeting whether we show up or not.

But, after 16 years in real estate, I know how much relationships matter. Showing up matters. Talking about your home to the agents actually working in the market matters.

EFFORT matters.

Real estate is part strategy, part community. And if I have a listing? I’m showing up. Not for the free coffee. Not for the pastry. For the community, the relationships, and the duty I have to my Seller to do everything I can to market their home…by land, by sea, by air…and by an early AM meeting that still means something to the people showing up week after week.

Because getting more eyes on your home should never feel optional.

not pictured: 5 new listings. 5 new escrows. 3 deals closed. one fifth grade speech that had me more nervous than my kid was. managed not to miss a single game.. friday night lights, done. threw in the towel on curating the weekly dinner menu entirely and started cooking 10 lbs of meat from the Mexican market every monday. bowls, tacos, salads. choose your own adventure, family.

made a lot of promises without knowing how I was going to keep them. figured it out anyway. but, have to say….the best parts were lived and never made the camera roll.

If you see a listing post… send it to the friend who’s been casually Zillow stalking for 8 months.

Or the one who says “we’re just looking” every weekend.

Honestly, most of my business comes from good people sharing my name when someone they care about is ready.

No big sales pitch. Just good connections ❤️

More deals, volume or accolades has never been the goal.

The real win is helping people feel more grounded, more informed, and more confident during big life decisions.

That’s the kind of success that actually sticks :)

Dan has fully leaned into his baseball dad era and honestly there's no going back.

We have the short sleeved jacket and complete lack of aura awareness to prove it. He's committed to the bit and honestly, I respect it.

Our son told him he was missing his aura to his face. Didn't care...kept going and wore that thing with pride.

But here's the thing about this guy. While I've been in the busiest stretch of my career, he's just quietly held everything together. No complaints, no scoreboard, no "what about me."

Just whatever you need, I'm here.

He shows up for our kids in a way that makes me feel like everything's going to be okay even when my calendar says otherwise. He's so solid. Like unreasonably, unfairly solid.

This is my appreciation post. Short-sleeve jackets and all.

He's the greatest. Love you the most and will never stop saying it. But, I draw the line at tank tops. Please take note.
