Oh hey there 👋 nice to meetcha (insert Minnesota accent, obviously)

If you’re new here, I’m Alyssa. I help people buy and sell homes across the Twin Cities, and I’m here to guide you through it from start to finish.

Most of my free time is spent out and about with my family, cooking something my kids probably won’t eat, or checking out new restaurants.

Radon… not the most exciting topic, but an important one.

Radon is a naturally occurring, invisible gas that can seep into your home from the ground. Long-term exposure can lead to lung cancer and it’s actually the second leading cause behind smoking.

Even if you already have a mitigation system or have tested in the past, it’s a good idea to re-test every few years just to make sure nothing has changed.

It’s quick, affordable, and gives you that extra peace of mind 👍

Most first-time buyers don’t learn a lot of this until they’re already in the middle of the process.

That’s why I spend time up front preparing my buyers. A few things I always talk about:
• The difference between must-haves vs. wish list
• You don’t need 20% down to buy a home
• An inspector will ALWAYS. FIND. SOMETHING.
• No home — not even new construction — is perfect
• And honestly… it’s not over until you’re at the closing table (and even then things can occasionally unravel 😅)

Buying a home isn’t as scary as it seems. But being prepared before you start makes a huge difference.

Sellers keep asking me if they should wait until April to list.

And honestly? I understand why.

April feels like the better time. More buyers, nicer weather, full spring market.

But here’s the catch:
April also brings a lot more listings.

Sometimes listing a little earlier means less competition and more attention from buyers.

Of course, every house is different — which is why having a conversation with your Realtor before you’re ready is so helpful.
