There are moments in this business that remind you exactly where you came from and what your organization is made of.
For DTN, our student housing move-in is one of those moments.
Every year, over a remarkably short window, our teams prepare thousands of apartment homes for incoming residents. That means move-outs, inspections, maintenance, painting, cleaning, grounds, final walks, keys, resident communication, and countless details that have to come together at exactly the right time.
It is an enormous operational undertaking for those that lead the charge. And year after year, our people make it happen.
Today, DTN has grown into a sophisticated and diverse owner, developer, and operator of apartment communities across several Michigan markets and down into Florida. We are incredibly proud of the communities we’ve developed, the markets we’ve expanded into, and the evolution of our company.
But no matter how much we grow, we will never forget where our foundation was built.

Our roots are in East Lansing. Generations of students have called a DTN community home, and generations of DTN team members have built their careers serving them.
To our Student Housing teams, from our property leaders and leasing professionals to maintenance, facilities, vendors, corporate support teams, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you!
Thank you for the long days. The urgency. The teamwork. The problem-solving. And most importantly, thank you for remembering that behind every apartment we’re preparing is a student and family trusting us with their home for an important chapter of their lives.
We’ve grown. We’ve evolved. And we’re going to keep pushing DTN forward.
But our foundation will always be right here in East Lansing.
