Today I took a few hours and joined other folks from the area to can spaghetti sauce at one of our local cannery’s in Castlewood.

Prepping large batches like this at the cannery is so much simpler when you can spend a few hours and literally process hundreds of pounds of food.

We ended the day with 273 quarts of sauce and 34 pints after the days work.

If you can at home this can make it much simpler to fill your pantry without spending days doing it.

If you’ve never canned before be on the lookout for more introductory classes in Russell County soon!

From church lock-ins to birthday parties or just a weekend well spent there were tons of memories behind these double doors at Hilltop Skating Rink in Lebanon, VA.

From trying to master skating backwards to racing your friends that had rollerblades vs your tradition skates (my last race resulted in staples and a scar on top of my head).

How many of you have memories of the skate rink or putt putt course next door?

Got to finally get my hands on a variety pack of Ginger Snaps Donut Dispensary Apple Cider Glazed donuts today. Oh my word they were amazing. I got a variety pack with raspberry filled, cinnamon sugar and the cider glazed. The family said all the others were great but this is the one I wanted and it didn’t disappoint.
