An incredible time of fellowship, worship, brotherhood, and growth at our Emmaus Men’s Program Retreat. 🙏

This retreat was a powerful reminder that life transformation doesn’t happen alone. Our men had the opportunity to step away from their daily routines, build meaningful relationships, reflect on what God is doing in their lives, and encourage one another along the journey.

We’re grateful to Bishop Michael Barrett of Do Right Christian Church, along with every leader, volunteer, and supporter who poured into our men and helped make this retreat possible.

Healing is possible. A new future starts here. God is still restoring, renewing, and redeeming lives.

💦 Summer fun at Angeles House! ☀️

A huge thank you to Jen Moore, her family, and friends for making a splash by hosting an incredible Water Play Day for our families! From huge water slides and a special little-kids play area to refreshing sno cones, it was the perfect way to cool off on one of the hottest days of the summer. 🍧💙

Our families had an amazing time laughing, playing, and making special summer memories together. We are so grateful to Jen and everyone who helped make this fun-filled day possible!

For 20 years, addiction had a hold on Javon’s life. Then a devastating loss forced him to confront a question he could no longer avoid: Was he truly ready to change?

That decision brought Javon 3,000 miles from Georgia to Union Rescue Mission and our Emmaus Recovery Program.

“Life became so broken, only God could fix it this time.”

Through faith, accountability, counseling, mentorship, and a community that walked alongside him, Javon began rebuilding his life. Today, he is choosing a life of purpose—serving others, working in URM’s dental clinic, and continuing on the path God has for him.

Javon’s story is a powerful reminder that our past does not have to determine our future. Recovery takes courage, consistency, and community—and no one should have to walk that road alone.

What a beautiful day of faith, fellowship, and creativity at Hope Gardens! 💛🙏

A heartfelt thank you to Carol King & Friends from Emmanuel Church of God in Christ for spending the day with our community through prayer, worship, and crafts. The ladies of Sequoia Lodge had a wonderful time decorating beautiful boxes, sharing laughter, and enjoying one another’s company.

Creativity has a beautiful way of bringing people together. 🎨💛

A heartfelt thank you to Gardenia Spiegel for hosting a special Art & Journaling Class for the women residing at Union Rescue Mission. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to explore creative writing, express themselves through art, and simply enjoy one another’s company.

Our ladies truly enjoyed their time with Gardenia, and we hope to welcome her back again soon! Thank you for creating such a meaningful space for connection and creativity. ❤️
