The first night a young person arrives at CHC, they’re often exhausted, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Many don’t know who they can trust.

Then something shifts.

They meet people who listen. They rediscover their creativity. They begin to imagine a future again.

That transformation is what Speak Out is all about.

On May 13, we’re bringing our community together for an evening of storytelling, music, and art, featuring performances by the young people we serve and special guest Amy Grant.

Too often, youth experiencing homelessness are reduced to statistics or stereotypes. But behind every number is a story of resilience, talent, and potential.

At Speak Out, we’re changing the narrative and raising critical funds to support housing, education, and career pathways for young people building stable futures.

This February, help us spread encouragement to CHC youth through Hearts of Hope.

For every $25 donated, our staff will post a heart with a positive message around our Cov sites, so youth are reminded they are supported wherever they go.

What an unforgettable Sleep Out this year! Together we raised over $800,000 across NorCal and SoCal to help young people at Covenant House California find safety, stability, and hope. The rain didn’t stop us; it reminded us why we gather each year: to stand strong with youth overcoming homelessness and to assure them they are never alone in their journey.

A heartfelt thank you to every participant, volunteer, staff member, youth, and alum who made this night impactful and meaningful. Your presence matters. Your commitment matters. Together, we are making a genuine difference.
