Today, Jennifer and I, along with our entire team at 3rd Generation Moving & Storage, are excited to officially welcome Lauren to the team!

Lauren will be stepping into an important role in our front office, and we truly couldn't feel more fortunate about the person we have joining us. She is currently attending college at MTC here in Marion, pursuing a future in the medical field, while also taking on this new responsibility with our company.

As parents, there is something pretty special about looking at our sons and not only being proud of the young men they have become, but also realizing how blessed we are with the incredible young women they have chosen to have beside them.

Lauren is our oldest son's fiancée, and now we also get the privilege of welcoming her into another very important part of our lives—our family business.

We already know the kind of person Lauren is: hardworking, caring, dependable, and someone who carries herself with grace and professionalism. We have absolutely no doubt that she is going to be a tremendous asset to 3rd Generation and make this position her own.

When you're part of a family business, the people you surround yourself with mean everything. Having someone we already love, trust, and believe in become part of what we're continuing to build makes it even more special.

Lauren, welcome to the team! We are incredibly happy to have you here, proud of everything you're working toward, and excited to watch you continue to grow both personally and professionally.

Today, Jennifer and I, along with our entire team at 3rd Generation Moving & Storage, want to take a moment to recognize Audrey Feasel as she finishes her last day with us before heading back to college.

Audrey stepped in this summer and filled a very important role in our front office, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She has done an outstanding job—reliable, professional, hardworking, and always willing to help wherever she was needed. She quickly became an important part of our day-to-day operation, and she is definitely going to be missed around here.

For Jennifer and me personally, it has also been pretty special getting to watch someone who means so much to Ethan continue to grow into such an impressive young woman. Audrey has some big things ahead of her, and we have no doubt that the same work ethic, determination, and character she brought into our office every day will carry her a long way.

Audrey, thank you for everything you have done for our family and for 3rd Generation this summer. We appreciate you more than you know. While we're going to miss having you around the office, we're even more excited to watch you continue your education, chase your goals, and see where this next chapter takes you.

Good luck this year, Audrey. Keep working hard, keep chasing those dreams, and know that you'll always have a place here with us. ❤️

Long day, but another successful one! 💪
We started at 8:00 AM with 5 trucks (three 26-foot box trucks, one 18-foot box truck, and a Transit van) and an incredible crew of 11 men. It's now 10:45 PM, and we're wrapping up in Columbus and heading back to Marion.

🚚 Moving Truck Safety Matters 🚚
One thing many people don’t realize is that a fully loaded moving truck can weight 15,000–26,000 lbs. While trucks can safely cross sidewalks or access yards in certain situations, every property is different.
That’s why at 3rd Generation Moving & Storage Corp we always evaluate: ✅ Ground conditions
✅ Age and condition of concrete
✅ Weather and moisture
✅ Truck weight and access angles
✅ Overall risk of property damage
If we deem conditions safe, and our client is comfortable with it, we will absolutely try to get the truck closer to help save our customers money with a shorter walk to the truck and more efficient loading/unloading times. However, we also care deeply about protecting the property and how we leave things for the next owners as well.
Crossing straight over a sidewalk is very different than parking or turning on one, and wet or soft ground can quickly become a problem.
Sometimes the safest option is a longer carry instead of risking damage to a customer’s property. Our goal is always to balance efficiency with protecting your home, driveway, sidewalks, and landscaping. 💪

Today we had the opportunity to help beautify our downtown by planting patriotic planters at the County Building/BMV! 🇺🇸🌺
We look forward to participating in this project every year and love seeing the creativity, colorful flowers, and beautiful landscaping throughout our community. It’s always rewarding to play a small part in making our downtown a little brighter for everyone.
