Yesterday I stood in this house with my buyers during their home inspection — and moments like this are my favorite part of the job. 🏡

There's something special about watching people fall in love with a place and start picturing their life in it. This one (look at that cedar siding and the country views) is going to be a wonderful home for him, and I couldn't be happier to be along for the ride.

If you've never been through a home inspection, here's what it actually looks like:

→ It usually takes 2–4 hours, and yes — you should be there if you can. Walking through with the inspector teaches you more about the house than any report ever will.
→ The inspector checks the big stuff: roof, foundation, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and water intrusion. Cosmetic things matter less than what's behind the walls.
→ No house is perfect. Even great homes come back with a list. The goal isn't to find a flawless house — it's to understand the one you're buying so there are no surprises later.

Buying a home is a big deal, and you shouldn't have to navigate it guessing. If you ever have questions about the process — whether you're months away or just curious — I'm always happy to help.
