🚨 “It’s brand-new… do we REALLY need a home inspection?”

My answer: YES. 🏠

New construction can be beautiful. It can also involve dozens of trades, subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and moving parts.

And mistakes don’t require anyone to be dishonest.🤷‍♀️

Sometimes something simply gets missed.✔️

That’s why I would never use “it’s new” as the inspection strategy.

An independent inspection gives you another set of eyes on the home before you take ownership. The CFPB recommends an independent home inspection for buyers, and new-construction verification programs also commonly include rough-in/pre-drywall and final inspections. 🏠

If you’re thinking about building in Greater Cincinnati, make sure you have someone representing you from the beginning.
