Today is a reminder that Memorial Day is not simply a holiday on the calendar, it is a day rooted in sacrifice, remembrance, and gratitude.

As a Marine Corps veteran, this day carries a deep meaning for me. It’s about remembering the brothers and sisters who never made it home, the families who continue to carry that loss, and the freedom we enjoy because of their courage and sacrifice.

Across the country, families gather, flags are raised, and names are remembered. Behind every freedom we enjoy today are courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to something greater than themselves.

For many veterans and military families, Memorial Day carries a quiet heaviness. It’s a time to reflect on friendships, memories, and those who never had the chance to come home.

As we spend time with loved ones today, may we also take a moment to honor the fallen, not only with words, but with genuine appreciation for the legacy they left behind.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙
