🎯 Putting Tip: Master Distance Control!
Most three-putts happen because of poor speed, not poor line. Stop focusing only on the hole and start focusing on controlling your stroke length.

🔑 Key Focus: Stroke Length & Rhythm

Eliminate the Hit: Don't hit at the ball; make a smooth, accelerating swing. The key is to maintain a consistent rhythm.

The 1:2 Ratio: Try to make your backswing about half the length of your through-stroke. For example, if your backstroke goes back 6 inches, your follow-through should go about 12 inches. This ensures acceleration through impact.

Practice the Gate: Place two tees on either side of your putter head, creating a "gate." Practice keeping the putter head within this gate with your preferred stroke length (e.g., 6 inches back, 12 inches forward).

🌟 Pro Tip: For practice, pick a spot 3 feet past the hole. If you miss, aim to roll the ball to that spot every time. This guarantees you leave tap-in pars, not stressful comeback putts!

🟢 Short Game Secret: Use the Bounce!
Most golfers try to "lift" the ball or dig the leading edge into the ground, which causes frustrating chunks and skulls. The key is to use the bounce of your wedge.

🔑 Key Focus: Setup & Motion

Open the Face: Before you grip it, slightly open the clubface of your sand or lob wedge. This exposes the bounce (the wider, rounded part of the sole).

Narrow Stance & Weight Forward: Take a narrow stance and put about 70% of your weight on your lead foot. Keep it there throughout the swing.

The "L" to "L" Drill: Make a gentle swing where your lead arm and the club form an "L" shape on the backswing, and then maintain that "L" shape on the follow-through. This promotes a shallow, brushing motion.

🌟 Pro Tip: Think of the clubhead skidding across the grass, not digging down into it. Trust the loft on the club to get the ball up!
