Freddie Mac has announced steps they are taking to help borrowers, renters, lenders and housing professionals address the unprecedented challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. These initiatives include new policies on forbearance, income verification, appraisals and other vital areas that are front and center within the industry. They also include steps they are taking in their multifamily business to support the rental market and to keep tenants in their homes.
