When reviewing your property taxes, you may notice charges that ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐›๐š๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒโ€™๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž. These are called ๐’๐’๐’-๐’‚๐’… ๐’—๐’‚๐’๐’๐’“๐’†๐’Ž ๐’‚๐’”๐’”๐’†๐’”๐’”๐’Ž๐’†๐’๐’•๐’” and may include:
๐Ÿ˜๏ธ CDD (Community Development District) assessments
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Solid waste services๐Ÿ’ง Stormwater or other community service
๐Ÿ’กStreetlights
๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐š๐ง ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: The Pasco County Property Appraiserโ€™s Office ๐๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ญ or calculate ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฌ๐ž ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ.
Our office determines your propertyโ€™s ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž and administers applicable ๐ž๐ฑ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ. Non-ad valorem assessments are established by the governmental entity or special district responsible for the service and appear as separate line items on the back of your TRIM.
๐‘๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ: A homestead exemption or Save Our Homes benefit does reduce your taxable value, but it ๐๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ž ๐‚๐ƒ๐ƒ ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐ง๐จ๐ง-๐š๐ ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ.
