Interest in AI has surged. Readiness has not.

During our recent conversation on AI and real estate, MaryAnne Gilmartin asked David Dunne a question that gets to the heart of the challenge:
“What’s it like in the boardroom and C-suite for all these AI-interested companies that are unprepared?”

The data underscores why it matters. According to JLL’s 2025 Global Real Estate Technology Survey, 60% of real estate investors remain unprepared, lacking the technology roadmaps and strategies needed to effectively integrate AI into business workflows.

As David explains, the conversation has moved beyond curiosity. Leadership teams are now confronting what it takes to turn AI enthusiasm into organizational capability.

Art has the power to transform a space. But more importantly, it has the power to tell stories.

We’re excited to introduce a new partnership with The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA NYC), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting working artists by providing affordable studio space, professional resources, and opportunities to grow their practice.

Together, we’ve curated a collection of seven works by four different female artists to showcase at Mabel Chelsea NYC, hand selected by our own andiekrefsky. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing each installation, the artists behind the work, and the stories that inspired them.

Featuring women artists at Mabel Chelsea is especially meaningful. As a female-founded and female-led real estate firm, MAG Partners believes in creating places that celebrate creativity, community, and the often-overlooked contributions of women. Just as Mabel Chelsea honors the legacy of remarkable women throughout history, these installations bring the voices and perspectives of today’s female artists into the spaces where people live every day.

Stay tuned as we spotlight each piece and the incredible artists behind them.

A new wellness destination has arrived at Ruby.

We’re excited to welcome SAINT, a private sauna + ice bath studio, to the ground floor of Ruby Chelsea

From our earliest conversations, we knew S A I N T was the ideal partner for this space. Their founders share our belief that the best buildings support not only how people live, but how they feel. That alignment in values and priorities made this a natural fit from day one.

Designed as a retreat from the pace of the city, SAINT brings together thoughtful design, restorative rituals, and a highly personalized experience, offering guests a private suite with a traditional sauna, ice bath, rain shower, and space to unwind.

We’re proud to partner with SAINT to bring this vision to life. Together, we’re creating a place that extends Ruby’s commitment to thoughtful design and everyday wellbeing while offering residents and the Chelsea community a new destination to reset, recharge, and reconnect.

Welcome to the neighborhood, SAINT.

The technology industry was built on a simple but powerful creed: question assumptions, experiment relentlessly, and never stop iterating.

In conversation with Jack Hanlon, MaryAnne Gilmartin discussed how that mindset can influence real estate. AI isn’t just another tool—it invites us to rethink familiar processes, test new ideas, and become more willing to challenge the way we’ve always done things.

Buildings may be designed to last for generations. The ideas behind them should never stop evolving.

A site always tells a story.

Before 122 Varick begins its next chapter, we’ve been spending time with its past. This 1940s tax photo, shared with us by the historian at Trinity Church NYC , captures the site in an earlier life as a neighborhood gas station, a reminder of how much Hudson Square has evolved over the decades.

As we imagine what comes next with our partners at Global Holdings, our understanding the history of the land will help us shape the future.

MaryAnne recently reunited with Renzo Piano at his workshop in Genoa, revisiting the ideas, the process, and the enduring power of architecture to shape cities for generations.

It was a meaningful visit with one of the great architects of our time, whose work has helped shape New York in lasting ways. While we can’t share the details yet, we’re excited to be working on something that could bring the legacy of Renzo Piano Building Workshop back to the city in a new way.

Last week, MAG Partners welcomed a group of real estate leaders to Mabel Chelsea NYC for a candid conversation about artificial intelligence and its implications for our industry.

What made the evening so compelling was the quality of the questions. The discussion moved quickly beyond the headlines to the practical realities of adoption: How can firms move from experimentation to implementation? What does responsible AI governance look like? How should leaders think about cybersecurity, data privacy, and “shadow AI”? How do we balance innovation with the human judgment and expertise that define our business?

We also explored the opportunities ahead—from unlocking individual productivity to building truly AI-enabled organizations—and what it means for an industry responsible for creating the homes, workplaces, and communities that shape our cities.

Thank you to Jack Hanlon and David Dunne for sharing their insights, and to everyone who joined us and contributed dynamic questions and ideas. The conversation reinforced an important takeaway: the question is no longer whether AI will impact real estate, but how our industry will choose to harness its potential.

Historically, real estate has been slow to adopt new technology. But now, artificial intelligence is beginning to reshape every part of the commercial real estate business.

The opportunities across development, architecture, engineering, design, construction, and project management are significant, yet over 60% of firms have no clear AI strategy for moving beyond pilot programs and scaling adoption across their organizations.

If you’re interested in the intersection of real estate, technology, and innovation, join us for a conversation moderated by MaryAnne Gilmartin at with Jack Hanlon and David Dunne, founder of Elemental AI, to explore what this technology means for our industry and how real estate leaders can begin to harness its potential.

Please email [email protected] if you’d like to attend and share this invitation with others who may find the conversation valuable.
