Upon graduating from Weber State University, Ashley Wolthuis attended the Universitat Jaume in Castellon, Spain where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Development Studies. Today Ashley is a second-generation Certified Residential appraiser and owner of Element Appraisal, as well as an author for national real estate publications. She is an award-winning real estate agent with RE/MAX Associates and was the recipient of the Ogden Connection 2021 and 2022 "Ogden's Favorite Realtor" award, Weber County Connection 2022 "Weber County's Favorite Realtor" award, the NWAOR Top 250 Realtor Award, the RE/MAX Chairman Club award, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, and a three-time winner of Indie Ogden's "Ogden's Best Realtor" award. Ashley is currently the co-Chair of the Board of Governors for the National Association of Appraisers and is the former President of the Utah Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (UTCAP).

My clients had a dream. To leave their life in Utah behind them, and join the family they had in Ireland.

I really like to see dreams come true.

So we made a plan. The sellers worked on making my suggested repairs to their North Ogden home, and I got to work on building a marketing plan that would get their house sold.

1964 changed everything.

Arguably one of the most pivotal years in US history made us all view everything differently; music, international relations, pop culture and what it meant to be American.

This house deserved its own Netflix miniseries.

There were twists, Unexpected obstacles and
a rotating list of characters and story lines that felt like they came straight out of a drama.

Good developers, bad developers, ranchers that made “Yellowstone” look like a series for toddlers, shady state senators, neighbor drama, and lovely Buddhist monks; they all had their scenes.

But here’s what didn’t happen…

We didn’t panic.
We didn’t chase the price down.
We didn’t quit.
And my clients and I never stopped believing in our end goal.

It would have been easier to just lower the price. I was told by so many agents to just slash the price and walk away. But I knew the true value of the property and was not going to let my clients miss out on several hundreds of thousands of dollars to make my job easier.

I don’t come to work expecting it to be easy, I come to work prepared to win for my clients.

Today it officially closed at FULL PRICE.

Sometimes the hardest transactions teach you the most about patience, strategy, and keeping everyone focused on the finish line.

I need your input! I’m working on a project and I need to know, what are your favorite features in your yard, or the yard you dream about?

They can be big features like a pool or pickleball courts, or something less obvious like engineered drip lines that eliminate over head sprinklers. Is it the hammock in a quiet corner, or the plants you liberated from your grandparent’s garden to always remind you of them?
