Big things are happening in OKC! 🚣‍♀️🌟

We're excited to see our city welcome the 2026 Canoe Slalom World Championships and thousands of visitors from around the world. Events like this highlight why Oklahoma City continues to be a great place to live, work, and invest.

See Mayor Holt's post below for more details.

People First. Respect Always. Inspire Change. True Service.

Next week, our city is hosting one of the most important sporting events we’ve ever had in OKC. We’ve hosted the NBA Finals, we’ve hosted the Women’s College World Series, we’ve hosted NCAA championships, NCAA tournaments and rodeo finals, but we have never hosted the official world championship in a perennial Olympic sport.

That is about to change next week, when Oklahoma City hosts the 2026 Canoe Slalom World Championships, staged by the International Canoe Federation, the international governing body for the sport. Over 300 athletes from 50 countries are descending on our city right now.

Along with Softball, Canoe Slalom is one of two sports we are hosting in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and this is your chance to engage with the sport we'll all be talking about in 2028.

The World Championships have been staged since 1949, and this is only the third time the World Championships have been staged in the United States, and the first time the Championships are in the U.S. since 2014.

Everything starts Saturday night (July 18) at 7 p.m. at RIVERSPORT with an opening ceremony that is free and open to the public. There will be a parade of nations, musical performances, and fireworks.

Competition lasts for six days, from Monday, July 20th through Saturday, July 25th. You can come anytime each day between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and catch competition. If you're looking for some high points, I recommend coming to finals on Thursday afternoon, July 23rd, from 2 to 4 p.m., as well as finals on Friday afternoon, July 24th, from 2 to 4 p.m. And then on Saturday, July 25th are the kayak cross finals from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by the closing ceremony. Kayak cross is the new Olympic sport that pits paddlers against each other simultaneously.

Here is the full event schedule:

All of these events are accompanied by great food and entertainment. There will be a fun atmosphere at RIVERSPORT all week long.

You can buy your tickets right now at https://okc2026.com/tickets

Tickets are the price of a movie and readily available. If you've been stressing about the availability or cost of Olympics tickets, this is an easy and perfect opportunity to see the same athletes in a high-stakes atmosphere right here in OKC.

I hope you will make plans to come out to the World Championships! I promise you won’t regret it. I watched days of Canoe Slalom at the Paris Olympics, and I’m telling you, it’s a thrilling sport to watch. Thousands of our residents are going to discover that in the next two years. Let’s get a jump on that process next week at the World Championships!

A slow drain.

A dripping faucet.

A running toilet.

A loose handrail.

Most maintenance issues don't start as emergencies.

One of the best things residents can do is report concerns early. Small repairs are often easier, faster, and less disruptive than waiting until they become a larger problem.

Our maintenance teams would much rather help with a small issue today than a major issue tomorrow.

Have a maintenance concern? Let your team know sooner rather than later. 💙

Way to go, OKC! 👏

Being recognized as one of the best big cities to live in says a lot about the people, businesses, and community continuing to invest in this city every day. Excited to see where the next few years take us.

For the second year in a row, Oklahoma City is one of the top two big cities in which to live!

This ranking would have been inconceivable in the 1980s and 1990s, but it reflects an intentional strategy we’ve deployed ever since those challenging years. Across three decades, our residents have passed 15 votes totaling $10 billion of investment in our quality of life. Now, we’re enjoying what happens when you invest in your city.

Enjoy this moment, OKC, and know that it’s not coming to an end anytime soon, because we have nearly $5 billion of that investment still rolling out over the next few years.

We would like to offer our condolences to whoever lost 12 tons of KitKats.

That’s really tough.

Unrelated — if anyone is missing a shipment, please stop by our office.

Our team will be restocking our KitKat supply shortly…

Especially at North Shore Apartments OKC’s Easter egg hunt tomorrow 👀

We have nothing to do with it.
Please don’t ask questions.

What many people don’t realize about property management is that the small details matter the most.

Responding quickly to maintenance issues, communicating clearly with residents, and keeping properties well maintained are the kinds of everyday actions that keep communities running smoothly.

When those things are handled consistently, it creates better living experiences for residents and stronger long-term outcomes for property owners.

At True Property Management, that attention to detail is part of how we care for the communities we serve.

A strong community starts with people who care about where they live.

When properties are well maintained and communication stays open between residents, owners, and management, it creates an environment where everyone benefits.

At True Property Management, we believe good property management is about more than buildings — it’s about helping communities thrive.

Many of the best parts of living in Oklahoma are the simple ones — walkable neighborhoods, local parks, and the small businesses that bring communities together.

From weekend farmers markets to local events and neighborhood coffee shops, these everyday places help create the sense of community that makes Oklahoma such a great place to live.

At True Property Management, we’re proud to help support communities where people feel at home.

Weddings, receptions, corporate and office events, concerts, speciality events and more.

A well-maintained property doesn’t happen by accident.

Consistent attention to landscaping, common areas, lighting, and preventative maintenance all contribute to a community that residents are proud to call home. Small details add up, and over time they help protect the long-term value of a property.

Strong communities are built through steady care and thoughtful management.

At True Property Management, that’s the standard we work toward every day.
