A quick business trip to DC… but the kind that reminds me why I love working with startups.
There’s something about being in motion: wheels up, systems aligned: even when EVERYTHING seemed to at first, go wrong! Then everything coming together in synergy with quiet precision, that mirrors what it takes to build and scale.
The same way flight depends on engineering, timing, and coordination, startups depend on vision, structure, and the right support to truly lift.
I was in Washington to support at a pitch event hosted by .us, and they delivered! eJet met with both accredited and institutional investors. The event was thoughtful, well-executed, and filled with founders who are clearly building with intention. We’re excited about the possibility of seeing some of these companies again.
DC showed up beautifully: perfect weather, strong energy, and a highly productive 30 hour trip. What stood out most was the number of women-founded companies stepping forward with confidence, expertise, and clarity. Even more exciting was hearing a success story happening in real time. Companies not just pitching, but thriving within a growing startup ecosystem.
Because ultimately, this is what it comes down to: alignment. The right investors. The right partners. The right mix of skills and vision. Like any precise formula, when the balance is right, everything accelerates.
Appreciation to for sponsoring and showing up with meaningful support for founders, that kind of ecosystem backing makes a real difference. Sponsors are the lifeblood of quality events. To all who have ever sponsored, or ever will: THANK YOU!
And a personal highlight, the Italian 🇮🇹 Embassy. A striking blend of modern architecture and historic influence, executed with that signature Italian attention to design. It was a reminder that innovation and legacy don’t compete, they elevate each other.
Supporting founders, watching ideas gain traction, and seeing what happens when the right elements come together… that’s always the best part.
Reel coming soon: at the Italian Embassy 🇮🇹 😅
