Ten years ago Jacqui Luberto was a military spouse with debt she did not plan for, two kids in middle school, and a passion she had been putting off for fifteen years.
She wanted to get her real estate license. People around her told her it was too expensive, it took too long to get a check, and she would need to buy billboards.
She went all in anyway.
Six years straight as the best real estate professional in Destin. Best brokerage five years.
Best property management four years. 2025 Broker of the Year.
And when I asked her what kept her going she said something that I want every person reading this to write down and keep somewhere they will see it every single day.
"There is always a purpose in your passion. Run it down if it is something you want to do."
She was talking about real estate but she was really talking about every dream that has ever been talked down by someone who did not understand it. Every passion that got buried under practical objections. Every door that closed before the right one opened.
The time is going to pass either way. You might as well spend it running down what you were made for.
