It seems like everything has a metric attached to it.
How much money you make.
How many houses you sell.
How many followers you have.
What list you made.
How big your platform is.
And listen… I believe in goals. I believe in growth. I believe in going after BIG things.
But something Pastor Tim Ross said stuck with me:
“What if your audience isn’t a big stage? What if it’s just your coworkers? What if it’s just the community you’re in?”
WHEW. 😮💨
Because we have to be okay with knowing that not everyone is meant to speak to everybody.
Maybe your audience isn’t millions of people.
Maybe it’s your neighborhood.
Your coworkers.
Your clients.
Your church.
Your community.
And honestly, I’m learning to appreciate the impact happening right in front of me.
I have clients who call me when they need a handyman.
Clients who reach out for credit resources.
Clients who ask me to pray for them.
Clients who trust me enough to put me on their emergency contact list while they’re out of town.
Those things won’t show up on a leaderboard.
BUT they mean something to me.
I’m a high-I. 😂 I LOVE people. I love relationships. I love being in the room, connecting, helping, and being a resource.
So maybe I’m not doing 100 transactions a year.
Maybe I’m not selling $100M.
Maybe I’m not on every “Top Realtor” list.
But I am making an impact where I am.
And I’m not saying that because I’ve stopped dreaming.
I’m saying it because I’m learning that impact isn’t always about how many people know your name. Sometimes it’s about how deeply the people who DO know your name trust you.
If God expands my reach, I’ll gladly go.
But if my assignment is to keep serving the people right in front of me?
I’m good with that too. ❤️
