We want to take a moment to acknowledge the joy and brilliance of one of our staff members, Ms. Lisa Rogers-Cherry. She is a cherished addition to the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach family.

Please join us in congratulating Lisa for being selected by her co-workers as the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach’s Employee of the Month!

As Program Manager, Lisa is dedicated to creating and developing housing opportunities while connecting residents to services that help strengthen families and improve the overall quality of life in our community. She is always building meaningful partnerships and looking for new ways to better serve others.

With nearly 30 years in Community Development, Lisa has spent much of her career helping more than 1,000 individuals to achieve homeownership. As the only child of a single mother, she learned the importance of budgeting, saving, and hard work at an early age. Watching her mother design and coordinate the construction of her childhood home sparked a lifelong passion for community and housing development.

Lisa’s heart for service shines through in everything she does. Her personal motto, “I’m blessed to be a blessing,” reflects the care and compassion she brings to both her work and the people around her. One of her favorite community events at HAPB has been the Golden Acres Holiday Toy Giveaway, which brought joy to so many families.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys laughing, traveling, praying, exploring new places, and trying different foods. She is the Author of the book “Lifting the Burdens of Debt.” Lisa is the proud Mom of two amazing children, Chayla and Charles III.
