For generations, Maine has quietly attracted people who could choose to be almost anywhere.

What feels different today is the scale of that interest.

The Wall Street Journal recently took notice sharing: half of all $10M+ residential sales in Maine’s history have occurred in just the past three years, while sales above $2 million more than doubled between 2020 and 2025.

But the more interesting story isn’t the numbers. It’s why Maine.
