Last month, NAI Elliott was proud to support a CREW Portland mentorship event focused on one of the most important skills we can build in our careers: advocating for ourselves and for others. 
 
Led by our Director of Corporate Operations and licensed DEI facilitator in the Neurology of Equity & Inclusion, Ash Mitchell, the conversation explored why allyship is a verb, not a title. It’s about action, accountability, and consistency, being reliable, vocal, and proactive in the everyday moments that help people thrive.
 
Through honest discussions about challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned in the CRE industry, mentors reminded us that effective allyship means intentionally refocusing, redirecting, reinforcing, and raising those whose voices may be overlooked.
 
The stories shared and the candor in the room were a reminder that none of us navigate this industry alone, and we all have the opportunity to remove unnecessary obstacles for someone coming alongside us.🫰

We wrapped up our company’s Movement Month by chasing waterfalls. 💧🥾

Over the course of May, our team collectively covered 800+ miles—walking, running, biking, hiking, and occasionally checking the leaderboard a little too often. 😉 A hike to Wahclella Falls felt like the perfect way to close out a month of movement and fresh air.
