This is one of those nights that reminds us why we love what we do. 🧡

Yesterday’s Dart Homes Fall Festival brought out so many familiar faces — families we helped buy homes this year, families we helped years ago, and even homeowners we’ve worked with again and again as they refinanced, adjusted their strategy and used their home to help build wealth and reach new goals.

That’s the really good stuff. A mortgage may start with a closing, but the relationship doesn’t have to end there.

We loved catching up, handing out Halloween bags and Future Homeowner tattoos, and watching the kids make the rounds. 🎃

And Dart Homes knows how to throw a fall party: s’mores around the bonfires, hayrides, face painting, all the Butler’s Orchard fun, great food, beer and wine for the grown-ups, and of course Ted Garber providing the soundtrack to the night. 🎶

Thank you to Dart Homes for bringing everyone together again. We look forward to this one every year — and judging by the turnout, we’re definitely not the only ones.

To everyone who stopped by to say hi: don’t be a stranger. We loved seeing you. 🩵

This month marks 21 years since Chong started this business.

Back in September 2005, there was no Mortgage On A Mission. No big team. No way of knowing what the next 21 years would bring.

There was simply a mortgage business and a commitment to taking really good care of people.

Over the years, the team grew. Our relationships with clients and real estate partners grew. And our connection to the community grew right along with it.

A few years ago, Mortgage On A Mission started as the name of something much smaller - a campaign that gave a little more intention to the causes and philanthropy our team cared about.

But the name stuck.

Maybe because it started to feel like it described more than our charitable work. It described how we wanted to do business.

Help people make good decisions. Take great care of the people entrusted to us. Support our communities. Give our loan officers room to build relationships and businesses of their own. And use the success of this company to do some good along the way.

So this isn't really the launch of something new.

It's something that's been growing here for years - and now we're giving it a bigger place to live.

As we celebrate 21 years, we're excited to step into our next chapter as Mortgage On A Mission Home Loans.

Our Perfect Loan Process is the system our team follows to help keep every loan organized, every borrower informed, and our real estate partners in the loop from pre-approval though closing.

There are a lot of moving pieces behind a home loan - and our borrowers shouldn't have to keep track of all of them. That's our job.

With a condominium, there are really two things being approved — the borrower and the condo project. And the rules around the condo side have gotten stricter.

That doesn't mean condos are bad or hard to finance. It just means it's a good idea to get your lender involved early.
