Multi-million dollar remodel. Pool, gazebo, fire pit. My favorite part was here all along. 👀

This is home 2 on the Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes, a full gut remodel in Fruit Heights that RiddCo took down to the studs and brought back as 6,900 square feet with 4 beds and 6 baths. It won best landscaping in the entire parade, and once you see the mature trees out back you get why. That’s the one thing new construction can’t fake.

But the thing I keep thinking about is down a little stone path in the corner of the yard. A playhouse that is somehow more charming than most of the homes I tour, and I mean that.

And it smells exactly like Disneyland. If you know, you know. If you don’t, I’m sorry, I can’t explain it to you.

New construction gets all the attention. But this one proved why remodels deserve a spot in the conversation.

Home No.2 | Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes
6,900 sq ft | 4 bed | 6 bath
Contractor: Weston Ridd and Ryan Robinson
Location: Fruit Heights, Utah
Award: Best Landscaping

This is a full remodel in Fruit Heights and what Riddco did here is genuinely hard to believe when you see the before photos. The kitchen originally had 8 foot ceilings. They’re now 20 feet. The living room went from 8 feet to 13. They took this home down to the studs and brought it back as something completely different.

The crown jewel of the main floor is a double sided fireplace with a sitting room on one side and the living room on the other. The primary suite leaned into dark moody tones with a bathroom that was beautifully executed and a bubble chandelier that tied the whole room together perfectly.

The basement held the remaining bedrooms, all well done with thoughtful wallpaper choices, a little cafe nook for the kids, a large open living area, a second kitchen, fireplace, seating area, and a home gym that earned its space.

Now the landscaping. This is where a remodel beats new construction every single time. Mature trees, established landscaping, and a backyard that felt like it had been loved for decades. That’s not something you can build overnight. The parade agreed and gave it the award for best landscaping in the entire parade.

And tucked in the back corner of the yard was a playhouse that reminded me of Disneyland. If you know, you know.

Riddco delivered something special here and it’s one of my favorites of the parade.

If you garden, stop scrolling. If you don’t garden, this might convert you.

This thing is nicer than some studio apartments I’ve toured, and I’ve toured a lot of studio apartments.

It’s tucked in the backyard of home 20 on the Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes, which is Grandma and Grandpa’s house on the street where three of their kids are building. So of course the garden house got the same treatment as everything else. Windows on every wall, a dedicated planting station with a topsoil drop so nobody’s dragging bags across the lawn, and enough detail in the woodwork that I forgot I was standing in a place designed for dirt.
