🏡𝕀𝕊 𝕐𝕆𝕌ℝ ℍ𝕆𝕄𝔼 𝔹𝕌𝕀𝕃𝕋 𝔹𝔼𝔽𝕆ℝ𝔼 𝟙𝟡𝟟𝟝?

🤔If your home is built before 1975, your pipes are likely made of Cast Iron and should be checked for damage.

🏡My home, a flip, was built in 1952. Since then, there were additions. Half the house is made up of ABS/PVC and the other half still had Cast Iron.

🛑Deterioration of Cast Iron already starts at year 25.

🛁 One day, I was doing my laundry, and my bathtub decided to have a party. I plunged, and poured draino, and all that jazz and left it for a couple of weeks because it wasn’t “so bad”. Couple weeks later, I called a couple different plumbers, and eventually, they found that they had to replace a section of the house that had cast iron.

☀️After a couple weeks post deciding who to go with, they started excavating and cutting out the pipes to one part of the home. And long story short, “The Sun Dog” (my home) is fully ABS.

🛑I didn’t experience all the side effects of deteriorated pipes, but generally, some signs of trouble include:, slow drains; clogs; foul smell; separated floors; raised, loose, or broken floor tiles; water-stained grout; and roach/pest infestation.

🚿 Pre-plumbing job: slow drain.
🪳Post-plumbing job: 3 cockroaches. (First time I’ve ever seen any a cockroaches in America.)

💩Otherwise, the pipes were pretty silent and I’ll tell y’a… It could’ve been a real s**t show. 💩 🤦‍♀️

‼️Moral of the story: CHECK YOUR PIPES! Especially if you have an older home.

☀️Hi Hi Beautiful People! Welcome to the first episode of my new series- “CRUISE & CLOSE with Christa”. In this series, I’ll be sharing a bit about myself and my journey, some spots that I like to go to, some things in and around San Diego that I would’ve liked to have learned about prior to moving, a sprinkle or history, and a dash of Real Estate. Mostly staying around San Diego areas (since I primarily service San Diego as a Realtor), BUTTTT, I will probably take you around to other spots too.

I’ll be driving around in my truck (The Green Fairy 🧚‍♂️ ), and sometimes my dog child, Ziggy 🐶 will join in on the ride.

This video is *probably* going to be the longest since I’m introducing my new series and trying this out. Hopefully you learn something and are slightly entertained. 🤷‍♀️ On my Instagram page, , I am used to me being in yoga videos, but, doing a lot of face-talking videos is pretty out of my comfort zone. 🤗Love meeting different personalities. Some people are great- love to chit chat; some people are really not in the mood. I get it.

What am I going to do? Nothing! I’m just going to continue focusing on my mission with good intentions and the be the best that I can be for the given situation. Wishing them a great day and moving on!
