⚡ A little Folsom history you might not know
Folsom was powering Sacramento more than 130 years ago.

In 1895, the Folsom Powerhouse sent electricity 22 miles to Sacramento, one of the first times power had traveled that far. It lit the city’s streets and businesses and even ran its streetcars. 🚋💡

The best part? The Powerhouse is still standing, and the original generators are still inside. You can walk through it and see the machines that made it all happen.

📍 Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park

🕒 Open Wednesday to Sunday. Hours change by season, so check parks.ca.gov before you go.
