Today, December 21, 2025, marks the winter solstice — the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s the official start of astronomical winter, but here’s the bright side: the days start getting longer from here! ☀️

How it affects daylight here in Minnesota (using Minneapolis/Twin Cities as an example):
• Only about 8 hours and 46 minutes of daylight — the shortest of the year!
• Sunrise around 7:48 AM
• Sunset around 4:34 PM
• The longest night ahead, perfect for cozy evenings, stargazing, or lighting candles 🕯️
