✨ LOCAL GEM✨

Every once in a while, you walk into a local spot and immediately think, How have I not been here before?

I recently met up with two of my high school girlfriends for one of those perfect summer mornings—a walk through White Memorial followed by a stop at Penny Farthing Tea Room & Bakery in Morris BritsBrand.

And what a find. 🤍

The moment you walk through the door, it feels as though you've been transported from the Litchfield Hills to a tiny English village. You're welcomed by lovely English accents into a wonderfully eclectic space filled with beautiful teas, teapots, dainty teacups and charming little details everywhere you look—including a penny-farthing bicycle hanging from the cathedral ceiling.

We chose a table outside overlooking the beautiful grounds of South Farms, although sitting inside would be equally fun because there is so much to take in and discover.

My choice? A blueberry peach scone paired with an iced peach tea—and both were absolutely delicious. 🫐🍑

Penny Farthing offers much more than our quick tea-and-scone stop, including breakfast, lunch and a proper afternoon tea experience, so I already know a return visit is in order.

Good friends. A beautiful walk. Iced tea and a homemade scone. Sometimes the simplest plans make the best days.
