Born and raised 30 minutes outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ryan Bretzel came to the Twin Cities in 2001 in pursuit of a degree from the University of Minnesota. Since getting married in 2006, Ryan and Emily have two children, Archer and Laine, that they love spending time with. During

college Ryan got a degree in plant genetics and worked on oats and medicago truncatula, a model plant for soybean, but his passion for homes was always there. Throughout his life he has gained experience through jobs such as machining, welding, and concrete work. Ryan grew up with a father who is a carpenter; so, construction has been around him all his life. Ryan decided that with his knowledge in construction and his social personality, becoming a Real Estate Consultant would be a great fit for him. Ryan Bretzel began his career with Keller Williams Realty in 2006 and has been successful because he focuses on helping his clients determine their goals and helps them put together a game plan to reach those goals. He has experience helping clients find homes priced less than $50,000 and for more than $500,000, anywhere from St. Cloud to Osceola WI, but generally focuses on the Twin Cities Metro area and Western Wisconsin. Ryan studies the market constantly by keeping in touch with market trends, lending practices and evaluating home structures. His expertise for evaluating home structures stems from a vast array of experiences as a wood worker, welder, machinist and concrete worker, all of which have helped his clients with decision making. A few weeks ago Emily and I went to the RE/MAX Results Awards celebration. This year it was at the IHG Hotel at the MSP Airport. Our hotel room overlooked the runway! It was a great way to share achievements from the 2025 season and make a date of it too. Thanks to all that I was able to work with over the past year. Our offices collectively sold almost 17,000 properties! 😵

This might be my favorite story of 2025. I received a call from a frustrated buyer. Over the past 9 months, they had written and lost on 7 different homes! They had obtained my name from a past client with whom I had worked about 15 years ago. We agreed to meet and talk about the situation. After speaking and talking about some different strategies, they circled back and decided to hire me. We saw a few homes and then wrote an offer on a brand-new listing. We knew this would go quickly and get into multiple offers. Yep, it did. 3 offers! One of the underrated qualities (who you work with) or, more importantly, Realtor-Realtor relationships played massively in this transaction. At the end, we got the home for $5,000 and $10,000 less than the other two offers. The cool thing is this home even appraised for $25,000 over our agreed price! Very happy for Noah and Amanda to finally secure their first home with an awesome kitchen just in time for the holidays! Enjoy the lake this coming summer!
