Let’s look back at some Tulsa real estate history. My grandad and grandmother (Mommom) were born in 1910 and 1911. They lived in Tulsa for the majority of their lives and kept meticulous records. So what did real estate look like in Tulsa at the end of WWII for a married family with 3 kids?

Year purchased: 1945
Purchase Price: $6,950 ($129,252 today)

Grandads Earnings in 1945: $4,817.50

My grandad poured the concrete and made and installed the wrought iron fence. It’s holding up pretty good considering that was 75 years ago!

This house last sold in 2017 for $215,000 and has a Zestimate of $370,000.

Ashley and I were lucky enough to run off to New England earlier this week. The scenery was wonderful and there was no shortage of historic homes! One thing I noticed was there were a ton of real estate companies that just had “real estate” on their building with no other company identifiers like the one in this picture. I’ll also say that I am thankful for Oklahoma real estate prices!
