With 2020 coming to a close, we're often asked to predict what the next year's market will look like. While we do not have a crystal ball, below are 10 reasons why we think 2021 will be 🔥🔥⠀

Top 10 Indicators for 2021:⠀

1. Ultra-low interest rates. Historically low interest rates are fueling rising prices. Seldom, if ever, has there been a weak real estate market in a low interest rate environment. Rates are expected to rise above 3% in 2021, so don't put off your purchase.⠀

2. Limited Inventory. Many areas around the US are experiencing housing shortages, especially affordable entry-level homes. Having more buyers than sellers usually fuels a strong market.⠀

3. High Demand. Demand continues to escalate, fueled further by Millennials coming of age to buy.⠀

4. Under-building. The US is under-constructing homes by MILLIONS.⠀

5. COVID Vaccines. Distribution has begun. There is now a clearer path to significant relief and potential end to the pandemic.⠀

6. Stimulus Money. Trillions of dollars are circulating globally and more is coming to further fuel the economy.⠀

7. Elections. The election insanity of 2020 is coming to a close. In January, we will have a better understanding of the future direction of our Federal Government. Certainty has value.⠀

8. Bonus Season. Many people will be getting bonuses this year, especially in the financial and technology markets, where some companies have boomed. ⠀

9. Record Equity Markets. Not only do they make people wealthier, they make them FEEL richer. Moods often drive markets as much as money.⠀

10. The optimism of Spring. Spring markets are often strong markets around the country. They fuel optimism, hope and renewal.⠀

Have a wonderful new year! ❤ your VBG family⠀

Your front door entryway welcomes more friends, neighbors, family members, and yes—Amazon deliveries 📦—than any other part of your home. Make a beautiful first impression with these decorating tips:⁣⠀
⁣⠀
1. Upgrade your indoor welcome mat to a rug that sets a warm and friendly tone right from the front door.⁣⠀
2. When accessorizing, remember the rule of three 👌—three different sizes of the same type of object will always look clean and pulled together.⁣⠀
3. Use benches, chairs, hall trees, and even old church pews to provide a practical place to rest, put on or take off shoes, or temporarily set things when you walk in the door. Don't forget you can swap out seasonal throw pillows on entryway seats.⠀
4. If you’re short on space, consider entryway furniture pieces that double as storage.⁣⠀
5. Personalize with artwork, photos, and items that reflect your family’s story using coordinated framing and color schemes to tie it all together.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Bonus tip: Before making changes, think about how you use the space just inside your front door. Keep that in mind as you shop and switch things up so that you'll be sure to love the end result.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Have an entryway you love? If you don't, try a few of these tips! ⠀
If that doesn't do it, we can always help you find a home with exactly what you're looking for 🏡

Halloween may look a little different this year, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a way to safely celebrate! 🎃 ⠀

⁣For over 20 years, Hilloween has been a traditional October celebration on Capital Hill. Families come from near and far to experience the community decorations and involvement. ⠀

This year, the event will take place online on Friday, October 30th from 4:00 to 5:00 pm with an online DJ, trivia games, animated stories and pumpkin carvings. The annual Howl-O-Ween Pet costume contest is also being held virtually, and you can submit your entries and vote for your favorites until October 30th! ⠀
⁣⠀
⁣If you're still looking to trick-or-treat, here are some fun and safe alternatives for you and your family! ⠀

1. Create a candy scavenger hunt around the house or yard 🕵️‍♀️⠀
2. Make candy bags for neighbors to drop off door-to-door 🍭 ⠀
3. Coordinate a spooky 👻 neighborhood scavenger hunt ⠀
4. Have a Halloween-themed movie night 🎥 ⠀
5. Create a fun candy shoot for those who do trick-or-treat 🎃⠀
⁣⠀
Comment what creative plans you have for this Halloween! I'd love to hear! ⠀
