Happy received her BA and MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and had a successful 20-year career in sales, marketing and business development prior to joining Intracoastal Realty. After working in advertising sales in Atlanta and for several non-profits in Charlotte, an MBA internship at the American Express Company led to 13 years of increasing responsibility, where she last served as Vice President of Business Development in the U.S. Consumer Card Group. Prior to that, she led the U.S. Consumer Platinum® Card team and developed leading partnerships for the Centurion Card®. She partnered with Fortune 500 companies and leading luxury companies to deliver innovative solutions, develop go-to-market strategies, create impactful marketing programs and negotiate complex contracts for her affluent customer base. She was awarded both the Chairman’s Award for Innovation and The President’s Achievement Award in this role. Personal Background
Happy and her husband Bill own a home in Country Club Pines near Forest Hills, and spend as much time as possible at their families cottages at Wrightsville Beach. Otherwise, you will find her exploring Wilmington arts and culture, entertaining with family and friends or traveling to new destinations. She enjoys volunteering and has served on the NC Film Council, The Board of Visitors at UNC- Chapel Hill, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Harrelson Center, and The Friends of UNCW board and volunteers at her church, St. James Parish, on the with The Community of Hope Group.
