🎨🌟 Congratulations, Teigan! 🌟🎨

We are incredibly proud of our Urraween Village tenant, Teigan Johnson, who has won the Arts and Culture Award at the 2026 Fraser Coast Ability Awards.

Teigan is a proud Aboriginal woman and talented artist who has turned her passion for art into a career. Using adaptive equipment to create her work, her talent and determination have seen her exhibit at the Maryborough Art Gallery and win first prize in the Fine Arts category at the Fraser Coast Show.

This award is wonderful recognition of Teigan’s artistic talent and her contribution to the Fraser Coast arts community.

Five years of Bree!

Today marks five years since Brianna Barry joined the team at Accessible Homes Australia, and we wanted to take a moment to say a very big thank you.

As our General Manager of Customers and Operations, Bree leads the customer side of AHA across all four of our communities. She has a rare ability to cut through the complexity of the NDIS world and get straight to what actually matters for the people living in our homes.

But what our tenants know best is how much she genuinely cares. Bree has advocated for so many of them, and lives have changed because of it. That is not something you can put in a position description.

Five years on, it is hard to imagine AHA without her.

Congratulations Bree, and thank you for everything you do for our tenants and for all of us. We are very lucky to have you.

A special moment at Urraween.

Last month, we held our first ever tenant meeting at our Urraween community. The official start of a new chapter for the people who now call it home.

The surprise of the day came from one of our tenants, Cecily, who arrived with a gift for the whole site: a beautiful village flag, made with so much heart. It will be flying proudly and will be part of Urraween's story.

Moments like this are what our model is really about, not just housing, but a genuine community, and the people who help build it.

🏀 Game on for the Hervey Bay Dingoes Wheelchair Basketball Club Inc!

In July, Bree and Perry represented Accessible Homes Australia at the official opening event for the Hervey Bay Dingoes Wheelchair Basketball Club, today we’re cheering them on as they head into the Sporting Wheelies Social League Finals!

It's fantastic to see the first wheelchair basketball club in Hervey Bay come to life, right in the same community as our Urraween village. Sport, connection and community are such a big part of independent living, and moments like this show what's possible when local partners come together to make it happen.

We're thrilled to announce a well-deserved role update! 🎉

Please join us in celebrating Angela Sager as she steps into the role of Site Operations and Tenancy Manager.

Ange has been instrumental in making AHA what we are — from welcoming new participants into their homes and supporting our existing tenant community, to building the operational foundations that keep our sites running smoothly. Her work across tenant onboarding, property management, compliance, and facilities means our participants can focus on living independently in their own accessible homes.

This title better reflects the breadth and importance of what Ange does every day, particularly as we've scaled operations across our sites and brought Urraween Village to life.

Thanks for everything you do, Ange — here's to the next chapter! 👏
