Accessible Homes Australia Accessible Homes Australia (AHA) provides specialist disability home pathways and solutions

There is something really special about walking through Urraween Village and seeing how our residents have made their homes their own.

A plant in the corner. Photos on the wall. The little touches that turn a house into a home. That is exactly what this place is all about, and it is something our team never gets tired of seeing.

Bree stopped by recently to share a little of what makes Urraween Village so close to our hearts. Have a watch and see for yourself.

If you or someone you love is looking for accessible accommodation that truly feels like home, we would love to have a chat.

Visit our website to learn more or send us a message to get started.

A huge thank you to Spinal Life Australia for sharing Urraween Village with your community 🙏

Spinal Life and AHA share the same purpose - supporting people living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions to live well and with greater independence. It's what makes this partnership so meaningful, and why we're proud to call Spinal Life a friend and valued associate.

We're pleased to see innovative approaches to Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) that support greater independence, wellbeing and rehabilitation outcomes for people living with spinal cord injury and neurological conditions.

Urraween Village Hervey Bay, developed by Accessible Homes Australia, is a newly completed SDA community designed to support participant choice, privacy and connection.

The village features:
• Private self-contained SDA homes
• An adaptive rehabilitation gym
• Hydrotherapy pool access
• Community gardens and outdoor recreation spaces
• Shared onsite overnight support availability

What a day! 🏡✨

We are so thrilled to welcome Teigan, Tarigue, and their beautiful young family to their new Accessible Homes Australia home in Hervey Bay!

Move-in day is always something special but watching this gorgeous family walk through the front door for the very first time made it extra magical. 🥹❤️

A huge shoutout to their incredible support worker Balinda, who was right there alongside them every step of the way. It truly takes a village, and we're so happy to be a part of yours.

Hervey Bay just got a little more wonderful Welcome home guys, this is just the beginning! 🌊☀️

Accessible Homes Australia has lodged a submission to the Senate Committee examining the proposed NDIS Amendment Bill. The submission is available here https://www.accessiblehomes.au/aha-response-to-the-proposed-ndis-amendment-bill-2026/

We support smart NDIS reform to ensure long-term sustainability—but this reform is complex and needs real community input to get it right.

If you use the NDIS, please take 30 minutes this week to understand what's changing. Then contact your federal MP or Senator and tell them your story. Your voice matters.

We can shape this reform together. Let's do it right. 📧

Our resident site manager Frank has been hard at work at Urraween, making sure every home is spotless and ready for its new residents.

He's just about ready to clock off and hand over the keys. We still have a couple of tenancies available — if you or someone you care for are looking for a better accessible home solution, come and have a look. Frank will be there to greet you.

Oh, and pets are allowed of course 😉

Right now, a lot is changing in the NDIS.

For families, carers, and support teams, that uncertainty is real, and choosing the right SDA provider has never mattered more.

That's why we want to share something that means a lot to us.

Accessible Homes Australia just completed our latest NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation audit and we passed with zero corrective actions. Not one breach.

Not one concern raised across the entire five-day process.

This kind of result isn't common. And we don't take it for granted.

Independent audits like this exist for good reason, to hold providers accountable and protect the people who live in SDA homes. We welcome that scrutiny, because we believe our tenants and their families deserve nothing less.

High standards aren't something we aim for. They're something we build into every home, every day.

✅ Zero corrective actions
✅ Full compliance across quality, safety, governance & participant care
✅ Audited every 3 years by an accredited NDIS assessor

If you or someone you care for is navigating SDA options right now, we're here to help.

Accessible Homes Australia is proud to sponsor the Gold Coast Rollers national wheelchair basketball team again in 2026.

The team personifies everything that all of us at AHA love about what we do. Giving people safe, secure and well functioning homes to enable them to do all of the different things they love.

With a special shout out to our resident Gail who is playing again in 2026! We'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!

There's been a lot of conversation lately about NDIS sustainability. And while that conversation matters, we think something important is missing from it.

At Accessible Homes Australia, we work every day with people who've spent years, sometimes decades, in housing that was never right for them. Aged care at 40. Hospitals. Group homes that offered no real independence.

The right home, designed well and paired with the right support, changes everything. Not just for the person living in it, but for the long-term cost to the system too.

Our founder Perry Cross AM has shared his perspective on what the current debate is getting wrong, and what a more precise, human-centred conversation would look like.

We'd love you to read it. 👇

There's been considerable media commentary in recent weeks about how to bring NDIS spending within more sustainable levels. Amid this discussion, we want

We don't just talk about inclusion. We show up for it. 🏀

That's why we're so proud to be partnering with the Gold Coast Rollers WNWBL for 2026. These women are elite athletes competing at a national level, right here on the Gold Coast and they inspire us every single day.

At AHA, we build homes that give people with disability the freedom to live life on their own terms. The Rollers show the world what that freedom looks like in action.

Same values. Same community. Let's go Rollers! 🙌
