๐ Stop Meddling with Our Housing Market ๐
Constantly tinkering with our Australian housing market, from bizarre 5% non-means-tested deposits in an already raging market, to layers of tax changes and regulations to negative gearing, capital gains tax and, more importantly, corporate and company structures. Continues to have a dragging downwards and detrimental effect on Australian business confidence.
We are fortunate here in Western Australia ๐
that our construction foreclosures remain a relatively small proportion of the national figures, less than 2%!!

If government at all levels could only stop meddling, as well as cease chasing glory infrastructure projects like railways to nowhere, racetracks and rugby team headquarters. These compete for an already finite skilled workforce and resources ๐ท, and back off on all the bungles, red and green tape, we might see more confidence in the industry and make serious inroads into abating this ever-growing, self-inflicted housing crisis. ๐๏ธ
It appears the latest assault on the market from the Budget ๐ฐ is the last thing that our fragile markets needed to contend with.
