I think people would be surprised how much of real estate has absolutely nothing to do with houses 😅

People picture the showings, the listings, the pretty photos, and the “SOLD” signs… but a big part of the job is actually reviewing documents, managing timelines, solving unexpected problems, calming nerves during emotional decisions, and coordinating a hundred different moving pieces while trying to make the entire experience feel less overwhelming for everyone involved.

Which probably explains why realtors somehow end up becoming part-time therapists, full-time coordinators, expert negotiators, and professional problem-solvers all at once 😂

Most people don’t realize they’re living the “good old days” while they’re actually in them 🤎

It’s usually years later that the random little things become the memories you’d give anything to go back to for one more day.

And I think that’s part of why home matters so much. Not because it has to be perfect, but because it quietly becomes the backdrop for so much of your life without you even realizing it at the time 🫶🏻

I went down a DEEP rabbit hole researching summer camps in and around Cochrane so you don’t have to 😂☀️

And it’s safe to say there’s definitely something for every type of kid, no matter what they’re into!

I love that so many of these programs encourage creativity, confidence, independence, and time away from screens, and hopefully this list makes your summer camp planning in Cochrane feel just a tiny bit easier 🤎

A house can check every box on paper and still not feel right once you walk through the door... 🚪

Which is why I always tell my clients we need to go look at the homes they like in person. Yes, photos can hide a lot, but they can also completely miss the things that make a house feel special, too.

The natural light, the flow of the layout, the feeling you get walking into a space, the noise outside (or lack thereof), the views from the windows, or even just whether it feels like somewhere you can genuinely picture your life unfolding.

That’s why I pay attention to both the big-picture stuff and the tiny details at the same time, because the right home usually ends up being about a lot more than what looks good in photos 🤎

You’re trying to line up timelines, finances, inventory, possession dates, and major life decisions… all while making sure you don’t end up feeling rushed into the wrong move.

And honestly? That’s exactly why so many people stay stuck longer than they want to. Not because they don’t want to move, but because they’re unsure how to make everything work together.

The good news is there’s rarely just one path forward.

Behind every showing, phone call, muddy driveway, and last-minute schedule shuffle is someone making a really important life decision.

Footstock is one of those events that brings the entire community together each year. From families and first-time runners to seasoned participants, it’s a full day of movement, connection, and supporting something bigger than yourself.

With events like the kids’ triathlon, 3k, 5k, 10k, and the 18k relay, there’s something for everyone to take part in, no matter your pace or experience.

It’s also a chance to recognize the people who quietly make a difference in this town every single day by nominating them as a Community Champion!

FYI: Where your email finds me isn’t always at a desk 😉

This time of year, especially, work and life tend to blend together in a way that’s hard to separate. A quick walk turns into lining up showings, a coffee run becomes confirming appointments, and those in-between moments somehow become the most productive parts of the day.

And honestly, I don’t mind it.

Being able to stay present for the little things while still showing up for my clients is something I don’t take for granted.

It’s definitely a bit different than a typical 9–5, but if you’re looking for a realtor who can balance both sides and keep things moving without missing the details, I’m your person 🤎
