Seems I’ve been dealing with this a lot lately, so I thought I’d put some thoughts down.
Real estate can be a tough business.
We compete for listings. We negotiate hard. We don’t always agree with each other.
But at the end of the day, we’re all real people.
I’ve been doing this a long time, and I’ve learned that professionalism isn’t about being perfect. We all make mistakes. We all have bad days. We all deal with pressure that nobody else sees.
What matters is how we treat each other through it.
I think our industry is strongest when we remember there’s a person on the other side of every email, text message, and phone call.
We can disagree. We can have different opinions. We can fight hard for our clients.
But we can still be respectful.
