Happy Thanksgiving!

This time of year is always a good reminder of how much there is to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for my family, my friends, my clients, and all the great people I’ve had the opportunity to meet through this business.

I’m especially grateful for every family who has trusted me to be part of such a big decision in their lives. Getting to help people find a place they can call home is something I never take for granted.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend with the people who matter most. Enjoy the food, enjoy the time together, and take a minute to appreciate the little things.

October is here 🍂

The leaves are changing, the mornings are getting colder, and around here you can feel winter creeping up pretty quick.

October is one of those months where there’s still lots to enjoy outside, but it’s also a good time to start getting a few things done around the house before the snow sticks around.

A few things on my October list:
• Get the yard cleaned up
• Put away the summer stuff
• Check the furnace
• Clean out the gutters
• Get the winter tires ready
• And enjoy the last bit of fall while we’ve got it

❄️ Is your house ready for winter?

Winter in Grande Prairie has a way of showing up whether we’re ready for it or not 😂

Before the snow and cold settle in, here are a few things worth checking around your home:

🔧 Furnace – Change your filter and consider getting it serviced if it’s been a while.

💧 Outdoor taps – Disconnect hoses and make sure your exterior lines are properly drained.

🍂 Gutters – Clear out leaves and debris so water can drain properly.

🏠 Roof & shingles – Take a quick look for damaged or missing shingles before winter hits.

🌬️ Doors & windows – Check for drafts and replace worn weatherstripping or caulking.

🔥 Fireplace & chimney – If you use one, make sure it’s clean and ready to go.

💦 sump pump hose- Make sure to take your sump pump off when temperatures get below zero

🚨 Smoke & CO detectors – Test them and replace batteries if needed.

❄️ Snow equipment – Make sure the snowblower, shovels and ice melt are ready to go before you actually need them.

A little work now can save you a much bigger headache when it’s -30° and snowing sideways.

📚 First day of school!

And just like that… summer is over.

There’s something about watching the kids head off with their backpacks that makes you realize just how fast time goes. New teachers, new classrooms, new routines and another year of watching them grow up right in front of us.

To all the parents trying to get everyone out the door on time, the kids starting a new year, and the teachers heading back into it I hope you have a great first day!

Here’s to another school year. 🙌🏻
