There’s a side of real estate you never truly understand until it’s your own home.

Selling Brett’s house wasn’t just another transaction. It was months of uncertainty, negotiations, second-guessing, sleepless nights, extensions, hoping the phone would ring, celebrating small wins, and wondering if everything we had planned was about to fall apart.

As a Realtor, I guide clients through this every day. I thought I understood the stress. I didn’t… until it was ours.

This sale represented more than a SOLD sign. It meant closing one chapter, letting go of a home filled with memories, and taking the biggest step we’ve ever taken together.

They say buying and selling a home is one of life’s most stressful events.

As a realtor, I thought I understood that.

Then Brett and I lived it.

We had to sell two homes, buy our new build, and make sure all three transactions lined up perfectly. Every condition, every deadline, every phone call mattered. It was exciting, exhausting, and at times completely overwhelming.

Going through it myself has given me an even deeper appreciation for what my clients experience. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that behind every transaction is a family carrying a whole lot more than paperwork.

This one has officially found its new owners.

Real estate is often associated with exciting new beginnings, and while that’s certainly true, there are also stories that come with difficult decisions, unexpected changes, and mixed emotions. This sale was one of those.
