Back in 2023, I realized I needed to make a serious shift in my business…
Social media was evolving so quickly, and video content was becoming impossible to ignore. I absolutely hated the idea of being on camera, but I did what I always do… I went for it. Like, really went for it.
And honestly? I was bad. Like awkward, uncomfortable, cringey bad 😂 But I kept showing up.
I kept pushing myself to get in front of the camera, because I knew I had knowledge and experience worth sharing, and I also saw how powerful video could be for my listings, my clients, and my business.
Fast forward three years, and this year I had the opportunity to work alongside one of the largest banks in Canada to share that same knowledge and experience on a much bigger platform. Something I never would have imagined back when I was first recording videos, overthinking every word, feeling shaky, and trying not to die of embarrassment.
And if you told me I’d be creating content for TD in 2026, I would have said, “Not this girl.” Haha.
So if you take anything from following along my journey, let it be this: nobody starts off perfect. The people you look up to were once beginners too. You are allowed to be bad at something before you become good at it. The awkward stage, the failed attempts, and the discomfort — they are all part of the process.
Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep pushing through the uncomfortable parts, because hard work does pay off! 🤍
And a big thank you to my ride or die video crews and my marketing team for helping me put it all together!
