For as long as I can remember, my heart has belonged to flowers. 🌸 Those of you who have known me my whole life might remember where that passion truly took root, working in a florist from the age of 14 to 17.
Since then, the beauty of elevating a home with greenery and blooms has never been lost on me. My house has always been filled with flowers, using a mix of fresh arrangements and some truly beautiful artificial pieces that look incredibly real. It’s such a core part of who I am that I even gave one of my daughters the middle name Fleur. 🌿🌷
Walking through my home today, seeing all the stunning blooms this season brings just gives me so much joy.
On top of that, I always love connecting with great local businesses. Meeting people in our community who offer wonderful service and high value always makes for a good day, especially when they happen to be selling beautiful flowers! 💐

There is something truly magical about watching an artist start from absolute scratch and witnessing their journey all the way to the top. ✨
While some might say it’s too early to call Dua Lipa a "legend," I beg to differ. Watching this young, fiercely ambitious woman,who literally came from nothing but possessed an unwavering desire to sing, perform, and become a megastar, has been nothing short of brilliant.

I saw that raw talent years ago, and watching her grow into the powerhouse she is today has been a massive joy.
Music is life, plain and simple. It is the fuel that keeps my fire burning. Even at the end of the longest, busiest days, it’s the energy that recharges me and allows me to stay fully energized for the life I’ve chosen to live.
Dua’s catalog is packed with brilliant songs that get me up, moving, and smiling. But there is that one track that just hits different. It is called “The One” and the second it plays, I’m dancing, and I’m singing just a little bit louder than before. 🎤💃🏽🔥

The Extreme Sport of the Weekend Open House (Or: The Case for Realtor Hazard Pay) 💰💵
We’ve all seen the cinematic version of real estate: a poised professional standing gracefully by a manicured lawn. What the glossy brochures omit is the harrowing, high-stakes prologue that occurs forty-five minutes before the first guest arrives: the tactical deployment of the open house sign.
To the untrained eye, setting up signs looks like a mundane chore. In reality, it is a high-level sport. You are managing heavy, sharp-edged metal frames while navigating the shoulders of our busy Okanagan roads, where drivers are often a little too distracted by the lake views to notice a pedestrian. And because presentation is everything, this maneuver is executed not in sensible athletic gear, but in a tailored blazer and,crucially four-inch heels! 💃🏽👠

Any reasonable person would suggest suitable footwear for a roadside sprint. But true dedication means darting across the tarmac in shoes designed exclusively for standing elegantly at a viewing. If you witnessed a blur of desperation today, don’t be alarmed; that was just a “Forrest Realtor” channeling a sprint that would rival a marathon runner, just with significantly less arch support.
It is high time the industry addresses the unspoken reality of the job: we genuinely need danger money. Forget contract negotiations; the real peril lies in the velocity required to plant a sign, sprint back to safety, and somehow look completely unbothered when a client drives by.

We are out there defying both the local traffic and the laws of podiatry, all for excellent curb appeal. So, if you are out driving today, please keep an eye out and tap the brakes. We are doing our absolute best, and these four-inch heels were definitely not built for speed.
